Determine the
condition and texture of hair by checking shafts, roots
and ends. Refer to diagnosis chart to identify what solutions
to apply to hair.
Step2
Pre-Shampoo Shampoo
hair to remove dirt and oil. Be sure not to scratch scalp
with nails
Step3
Pre-Treatment
Replenish damaged or dry hair by applying Amino Conc.
Step4
First Solution
Apply the appropriate solution chosen in Step 1 to hair
making sure to keep 1/2 inch away from the scalp.Leave solution
on hair according to the chart.
Step5
Checking
There are three different types of check testing all of
which must be done.
1. The Shaft - Tie the hair strand in a knot to check the
elasticity of the strand. If the knot stays in place then
the hair is ready for the next step. If the knot loosens
and comes undone the hair needs more processing time.
2. The Roots - Stretch the hair strand. If the hair stretches
like a rubber band it is ready. If it does not it needs
more processing time.
3. The Ends - Comb the hair all the way through from root
to end. If hair stays straight then it is ready. If hair
has a wave to it and moves then it needs more processing
time.
It is necessary to check every spot of hair. If necessary
re-apply solution to the hair but use a one step weaker
solution. Check hair at the minimum time for whichever
solution was chosen.
If hair has not softened, leave solution on until maximumtime.
Do not rinse off solution until it is ready. If it is
necessary to do so before hand then rinse and re-apply
the solution on the same hair.
Step6
Shampoo & Treatment
Apply Amino Wrap Shampoo to hair. Make sure it foams then
rinse off well. Be sure not to pull or
crumple hair. Gently towel dry. Apply mixture of Amino
Conc and Hair Pack Treatment all over the
hair. Do not rinse it off. Go to the next step.
Step7
Ironing
Dry the hair. Next, divide hair into four sections. Each
panel size should be the same width as the
iron's panel and the thickness of the section should be
? inch.
1. Take the 1st section from the nape area. Lift it up
90 degrees from the scalp and comb through.
2. Hold the section of the hair with the MG Iron to slide
it out from the root to the middle part of the
hair that is being held. Slide 3 to 4 times at the same
spot until the hair is completely straight.
3. Finish by taking the iron to the end of the hair section.
Slide 3 to 4 times at
the same spot until the hair is completely straight.
Ironing Styles
a) If the hair needs to be very flat take a section horizontally.
b) If the hair needs to have body and a more natural look
take a section diagonally.
Step8
Neutralizing
Spray the neutralizer all over the
hair then comb it through straight.
Leave in for 3 to 5 minutes.
Step9
Final Rinse
Rinse off neutralizer thoroughly
and apply the Amino Wrap
Conditioner. Rinse off conditioner
well.
Step10
Finishing
Apply Hair Body Up Solution all over the hair and dry hair
completely. If desired, use the MG Iron to take additional
moisture out of the hair.
Notes for maximum effectiveness:
Do not wash hair for 48 hours.
Keep hair straight for one week. Try not to bend
or tie hair. No ponytails. If color is necessary, color
one week prior to straightening or one month after
straightening.
